Randy Speed's Biography
Randy Speed is founder and president of Speed Consulting, LLC of Waxahachie, Texas. He began his engineering career at LTV Aerospace where he spent 8 years on the B-2 stealth bomber development program. An aerospace engineering honors graduate from University of Texas and former competition pilot, Randy has over 22 years experience in finite element modeling (FEA). He joined Rasna Corporation, originators of the MECHANICA software, in 1992 and has been a user of MECHANICA since the software was first released. Randy left PTC as the senior MECHANICA consultant in 1998 to establish Speed Consulting, LLC. He has trained over 1,500 designers and engineers on the MECHANICA software and continues to provide consulting on Structural, Thermal, Vibration, and Mechanism problems. Randy also offers consulting services on thermal and computational fluid dynamics using cfdesign software from Blue Ridge Numerics.
